Not sure I would agree with you there, we submitted one work visa and one partnership (sponsored by the work permit holder) visa, and got them both back in about a week. We both had to jump through the same number of hoops, only difference being OH provided proof of work, and I provided proof of being OH's OH.

Fair nuff! That's quicker than I thought, even for the partner visa Was there a job offer involved?

Not too surprising in our case though - I had thyroid cancer, all clear now but they have to show my medicals to the assessor for the official Kiwi acknowledgement that all is well. And hubby was involved in a small road rage incident a few years ago *cough*

I'm sure it'll be fine, just one of those things!
