Approved (in principle)!!!
Just got the word from my visa advisor in Christchurch that we have been "approved in principle" a mere two weeks after our application was opened by the case officer! Don't know how much longer we have to wait now, but at least that hurdle is overcome!!!!

wow! that's fast! brilliant.
I assume that you lodged your application at the Christchurch branch of NZIS? I'm very interested, as I've recently lodged my application there, and I'm hoping for a very very quick turnaround. When did you actually lodge your application? and when did you here from a case officer?

Actually, I believe that LTBVs are only done in Wellington. Ours was received on April 22, and was assigned to a case officer on May 13. She sent questions on May 18, we responded on May 21, and the approval in principle came in today. Pretty darned fast, if you ask me!
