Smile We just got back from 3 weeks in New Zealand with our baby, our thoughts

We just got back from a fabulous 3 weeks in New Zealand - we toured both islands with our 10 month old, and found New Zealand to be full of warm, friendly people and VERY family friendly. We stayed in a range of accommodations, from hostels to hotels to Top 10's. There were lots of things to do, even for people who don't want to throw themselves off bridges on a rope (although Wendy did roll down a hill in a hamster ball...)

Please let us know if there are any questions - we've also uploaded our photos , videos and blog entries to our personal web site.

    Hello and welcome.

Judging from your website, this was a holiday rather than a recce trip, yes?

Hello, and welcome to the forum
Great pics and info. on your website
As J&M commented - sounds like you were on holiday but I'm wondering if the fact that you've signed up on the forum means you've been inspired to consider a move to NZ?

Thanks for the comments! Well, it was intended as just a holiday, but as you can see we were very impressed and would certainly consider moving there one day - that's how we stumbled on this board. We've been to 52 countries, and of that there's only a handful that we'd be willing to live in, and NZ is definitely one!

Its a great relief to listen again and again that kiwis are very friendly and cooperative in nature. It really boosts up my confidence in setteling in a new society. Obviously as half of the responsibility lies on immigrants/visitors shoulders to show good jesture and manners.
