Phoogle Map

You are asking if there is anyway to embed a google map here in the forum posts, right?

I don't think that feature is enabled, but can someone please confirm?

Hiya there was a phoogle map on one of the other expat forums I used a while back - it allows members to mark where they are on the map (if they want to) so you know who is where and who might be able to answer questions (and have a pint with) in the area you intend to end up! I just wondered if there was anything similar here.

I hope this works, this is what it looks like (you don't have to use the satellite view you can use the google map). You hover over the icon and it tells you the name of the user and links to their forum profile. It was really helpful just from the point of view that by finding someone in a similar area, you could often read their previous posts and find answers to your own question without clogging up the fourm with "same posts".

Also, you can add events to the map e.g. an expat meet in Welly on the 1st December (diff kind of icon but you get the idea)!

Completely love this idea........one thing we want to do after our stuff arrives is pass on the extra bits to a new family coming out - save them some of the expense, people have been so kind to us. This would make it so easy as well as the meet ups.
