You are far more organised than we were! You will need proof of address to register with the library and no hurry with the driving licence, I still have to get a NZ one after nearly a year. No claims bonuses for house/car insurance - ours said they didn't need to see those. Get your IRD as soon as possible, otherwise you won't get paid. Got accommodation sorted out yet? Happy travels.

It may have just have been a jest and fun comment to celbrate and take time to reflect and marvel that NZ is our new home - but these comments made me think and have been very helpful!!

Don't know about others but I have been working on the project of 'One day moving to NZ' for 3 years now, and it is easy to get caught up in project management... as if that's what it was all about.

...on 10th Jan it will indeed be the moment we arrive

okay still things that need sorting in NZ but ... time to enjoy, slow down a bit, ease off and take it all in...

    thanks everyone
