Adding Partner in ITA application
Hello ,
I am wondering about adding my partner in the amendments section of my ITA application , Is it a must to be in relationship for a year or more in order to be able to add my partner in my ITA application ? i don't want to claim bonus points for my partner , all i need is to be able to live together in NZ . What should i do ?
Thanks

Yes, you have to be able to prove at least 12 months' worth of live-in partnership for them to be on the ITA. But don't despair - you can go for a partner-sponsored temporary work permit as long as you can prove SOME time living together, then renew this until you have the 12 months, at which point they can apply for partner-sponsored residence. Here's the link for the first part. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...milystream.htm

Thanks JandM for your reply, I think that means i have not to include my partner in my ITA application as we have not lived together for 12 months. What about the partner-sponsored temp work visa , is it required that i have firstly the residency so that my partner can apply for that visa ? and does it require a job offer from NZ employer or not ?
can i have more details about that situation .
Thanks a lot

Your partner certainly does not require a job offer in order to get this visa - it's dependent on partnership with you, and you getting your visa, not anything else.
As to your other question, I'm not sure.
I THINK you can send the application in to your CO, along with your own.
If nobody arrives on this thread to comment who has gone through this process, the best thing to do is to contact INZ and ask them when and how to request this other visa.
