I lived in Tauranga for 11 years and loved it. Previous posts are quite correct and suburbs vary. If I were you I would wait until I was there, rent somewhere for a few weeks and look around. Ther are good areas and good schools.

Hi everyone
I got a job in Avondale and I´m looking for a home in a calm neighborhood and where the way towards to the job will be not "as fast as a turtle" in the traffic jam. I´m thinking to live in Lynfield, Henderson, Massey or Glendene. What are your recommendations?

My personal opinion.
New Lynn or Blockhouse Bay would be nice.
Cheaper but still close to Avondale would be Kelston.
