The ones at events at least; like North Harbour Stadium where the Blues will host the Rebels.

Okay - not many. And it changes from year to year!

Legally retailers aren't supposed to open at all on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and can only open at 1pm on ANZAC Day (which happens to be Easter Monday too). I don't know who classes as a "retailer" though.

    See http://www.dol.govt.nz/News/Media/20...er-trading.asp

All supermarkets such as Pak 'n Shove will be closed on Friday and Sunday.
All bars will be closed on Friday.

IIRC Dairies are alowed to open as are coffee shops (may add a surcharge).

Whilst bars are not allowed to open, restaurants are so some pubs will open for "food".

Whilst DIY and garden centers are not allowed to open, some will anyway.

Sure someone will correct anything I've got wrong

If they're going to make more money than the $1000 fine then they will open. Except for supermarkets. I think they like to see people panic buy.

Countdowns around here are closed in the morning, but opening at 1:00.

Was going to go to the redwoods, but now thinking I may not if the DOC centre and bike shops are going to be closed... Hmmm... Weather on Friday is supposed ot be best of the weekend...

    Are you sure?

The website quotes them as closed on Friday and Sunday and only opening from 1pm on Monday - or is that what you meant?

Duncan - Planet Bike will most likely be there. And I know a friendly shuttle bus driver if you want to try some of the other tracks.

Thanks, they've updated the websites now. I thought it very very odd that they were open as normal on Friday and Sunday but reduced hours Saturday and Monday. Assumed that was just NZ's way of doing it. Instead then they were spending too much time on plugging Masterchef and that annoying flipping Coleman family and not getting their website right.

    Much appreciated.
