Electoral Roll
Someone had recently mentioned to me that we were entitled to vote at elections so today I did some research.
As permanent residents who have lived in the country for more than one year we are required to enrol to vote.

I had totally missed this so I have just completed a form and printed out to sign and submit. Now I will have to start doing some reading about political parties here...if enfranchised I have always felt that I should vote!
Probably everyone else has already realised and it is just me being slow on the uptake, but in case anyone else did not realise that they had this right I thought that I would post!
