Daughter's Medical referred to MA [2]
Earlier my daughter's medical was referred to MA and my pediatrician attached a report explaining the situation with the medical. But i received today the following response from my CO:
I received your daughter's medical back from our medical assessor and they are requesting the following further information:
- please provide a echocardiogram and report regarding the heart murmur [for my daughter].
You will need to obtain these reports from your own doctor/specialist. Once you have these please submit the original reports to me at which point I will re-refer medical to our medical assessor for further review.
Please note that my daughter has no medical history and both her pediatrician say that there is no issue with her.
Can anyone comment on it? my CO said that if her medical is not clear, they try to get a medical waiver, and if not, my application would be declined.
thanks in advance for helping me out.

Presumably her medical was referred to the MA because some reading taken during the examination was outside the normal range. Even though she has no history of heart problems, it is possible that it was just at this moment a condition showed up for the first time. On the other hand, it could be just a momentary glitch. In either case, it is only reasonable that the MA has to make sure what is going on. And you don't have any option but to do what he says. He has the power to ask for as many reports or tests as he needs to form a clear opinion. Get the echocardiogram, and make sure your own doctor answers any specific questions asked by the MA point by point, not even in general terms such as 'there is no history of problems'.
Good luck.

Hi There,
Does your pediatrician report detailed about heart murmur & ECHO test results (to find why there is heart mutmur). In case not then you have to share the results from ECHO test.
If the reports were shared, I think they would wanted to confirm it. Have faith things will be fine.

Thanks NSF & JandM,
Got my daughter's echo cardiogram from an ISO 9001:8000 certified diagnosis center, and cardiologist says that there is heart murmur but conditions are normal. Report says
in conclusion: "NORMAL ANATOMICAL AND FUNCTIONAL ECHO DOPPLER STUDY OF HEART".
He said there is nothing to worry about but let's hope if the MA has the same to say. Fingers crossed, will send the report in this week back to CO.
What you guys think?
