NZQA stuck for 3 months

Hi Friends,

Applied for NZQA in october and verification started in November 2011 and still pending for Bachelor's degree verification

NZQA informed us that they sent 2 requests for verification but no response from the university.

When we checked with the university they informed us that they did receive the request for verification but as per process 25 NZ dollars have to be paid - but here is the twist university said they will not inform the NZQA as it is mentioned in the website and NZQA will never know about it as they have already sent 2 requests


And there is a clause which says we and our consultancy should not get involved in the process till NZQA asks for.

This is a strange situation where the time and the patience limits are at a toss

please anyone advice how to tackle

Pay them fee, this is what NZQA will advise you. If there are any fees, NZQA advise the applicant to pay it. I was advised to pay same.

But here University person is not going to inform and NZQA is waiting for University reply

And can we directly pay the university without NZQA knowledge??

So can we pay directly the verification fee to the university without NZQA knowledge????

It makes no difference if you tell NZQA or not, university will not release verification documents without fee and NZQA will not send them this fee directly. They ask applicant to pay fee. Since your case is stuck there for few months, its best to pay university directly and ask them to complete verification process asap. Its your choice to let NZQA know.

Thanks for the advice we have paid the university and they have sent the verification to NZQA (will be received this week) and the waiting continues to complete the evaluation and other steps

After a long wait we got the IQA result and is Level 6 - they mentioned as 3 level degree with 360 credits.

1. Can we go ahead with level 6 - what is the success rate

2. Can we request for IQA review again - is there any chance to change?

This is for Bachelor of science - Computer Maintenance and Engineering from Osmania University in india - pls advice

what are the length of your bachelor degree? if it was 4 year length then you can review for level 7

If you have enough points you can apply but with level 6 you can not claim any bonus points.
