"Tourists planning on seeing New Zealand from the comfort of a motorhome now have the option to spend their first night in the country less than a kilometre from Auckland Airport.

Airport authorities have established a campervan park to allow travellers a chance to get a good night's rest prior to embarking on their journey."

This is a great idea and gives you an alternative to staying at an airport hotel for the night to ensure you're properly rested before hitting the road.



However you have to question what the aircraft noise pollution is likely to be in a camper compared to a hotel.



My guess is you're more likely to get a more restful night in a hotel then go and pick up your camper the following day.




Useful as well if you have an early flight out of AKL.
