I'd never heard of Feijoas. Had to look them up. Are you meaning they're in the shops to eat or that the plants are everywhere?
You can buy them in the shops, in season of course, which is around March/April time, most people we have met out there have a tree in their garden. Sadly we have to make do with Feijoa jam when we are at home - but we will have our own tree when we get out there
The immigration officer who stamps your passport and says welcome to New Zealand and no finger prints etc
