July Impact:
Are there any changes in immigration rules for Silver Fern Visa?
On forum I read that some guys when got job on SFV they applied for PR and got it with conveniences..although it varies case to case but are there any changes in the law from the ones that were applicable in the last year..
I don't know why this rumour is going round about July being a time for changes in the law. There is no regular time for such things.
There are occasional tweaks in regulations. Any time they happen - whenever it is in the year - they appear on the INZ website, on the news page first. http://www.dol.govt.nz/immigration/s...ch.aspx?q=news
Nothing has changed about Silver Fern.
Anyone with a skilled job which they were offered while on the SF scheme, if they wish, and if they meet the requirements for the Skilled Migrant scheme, can put in for Residence (instead of for the second SF visa). This is nothing new - people did that in the first year of Silver Fern. 'Conveniences?' - not sure what you mean.
Hey Borax,
Yeah I was surprised about that too. Initially I thought I already have all the documents required but after I reviewed the list again, my school was gone. I immediately applied for IQA and now Im worried that I wont get the result in time. I should've visited the site more often.Oh well..

Sponsorsyeah that really was a huge trim. Last April it was more than a hundred schools, now it's just exactly 40. Luckily for me though my school was still there and my SFV application was approved yesterday.
I hope your IQA will make it on time, and if not, immigration officers are just human and will certainly understand if you'd explain your circumstances. And hope to see you in NZ one of these days...
