New Zealand Immigration Advice

Please note that anyone who is not licensed or exempt under the licensing legislation to provide immigration advice regarding New Zealand, even if informally and/or based outside New Zealand, is doing so unlawfully. Furthermore, even if you are authorised under the law, under the code of conduct, the person advising is required to have a written agreement (fee paying or not) in place with the client prior to doing so. This requirement applies to everyone across the board. Feel free to consult the Immigration Advisers Authority in this regard; they are the regulators of those providing immigration advice re New Zealand.

Indeed. The amount of strange advice that has been brought to our attention (we're lawyers) over the years is phenomenal. Nothing to do with this forum though, I should add.

The owner and administrators of this website are well aware of NZ law, having been in touch with the Ministry from the time when that law came into force, for guidance as to how it would affect our forum. We take great care to stay within its provisions, and any posts which infringe the law are removed as soon as possible.
