Figures from Trade Me Property for February 2019 showed that the average (median) rent for a three / four bedroomed property in New Zealand, excluding Auckland, was $480 per week and for a one / two bedroomed property was $375 per week.

One of the cheapest is in South Waikato District costing $190 per week.

For a three bedroomed flat in Waikato, the most expensive average rent is in the Hamilton suburbs of Te Kowhai / St Andrews / Queenwood costing $460 per week.
