Apologies for the error, it was a typo. I have made the changes to my query below!
The presence calculator indicates that I will be eligible for citizenship after 4.8 months of having the resident visa and followed by a permanent resident visa for the last 2+ years. However, my wife does not meet the Citizenship presence requirement as she has spent more than 5 months abroad in the first year but has met all the other 4 years. Despite this, we are considering applying for her citizenship application soon, as my child and I will apply. We believe that her recent registration as a teacher and our property ownership present a strong case for her application. Additionally, she has spent 450 days in the country in the last 20 months which is one of the criteria in case an applicant does not spend 240 days in each year.
Can I go ahead with my wife's application? We have personal reasons and documentation to approve why she couldn't be NZ in the first year. thanks
