Temporary accomodation needed in Wellington (May 6 - 13)

Hi friends,
I'm looking for a temporary and economical accomodation in wellington for a week from May 6 - May 13. Please help if anybody here in forum aware of any cheep temporary accomodation. I'm planning to come along with my wife...

Is it better to looks for a hotel OR B&B OR rental homes. Also advise if you recomend any hotels OR B&B in wellington.

try holiday homes we used one in Belmont Lower Hutt basic but had everything we needed as a base including washing machine etc

Or there are some motels out Petone way that might work for you - easy access to the city via train.
