I rang immigration on 08/05 as we didn’t receive our ITA and got told ITA was sent to my partner’s work email. Thanks. It was likely a clerk at this point I would think. They never said they were my CO. Either way good that the application is being looked at.

He did refer to himself as my “immigration officer” in a letter...but I don’t know the lingo and am not sure if that is the same as a case officer.

You'll find out in the course of the processing for definite who your CO is. It doesn't really matter whether or not it's THIS person - there will be A person. Of course, everyone hopes that their case will be allocated sooner rather than later, but you know how disorganized INZ have been for this last six months and more, so timing is even more unpredictable than usual.

Yes of course, I was only pleasantly surprised by any correspondence as I only lodged my application this month.

I do have occupational registration, I didn’t realize that the faster processing could be that quick!! I am hopeful obviously that the extra documents requested will be looked at just as quickly.

Timeline update: Our SMC application has finally been lodged! (Four days shy of one month from receipt at Penrose.) I can’t remember — are we notified when a CO is assigned, or no?

Sometimes the CO actually email you and introduce him/herself. But I don't think its a requirement that they notify you.

I've waited almost 5 month for a CO and still waiting.

Good luck, hopefully they hire more stuff to manage the queue.

Hi Agi,

Sure, because of absence of family relationship certificates.

First time I sent only basic certificates for birth certificates.

Hi There! We are in very similar timeline 😀 Off shore -160 points - job offer. Ours delivered 06/06/19. Do you have job offer? We are trying to stay calm, enjoy the English summer :/ and not expect anything too quickly. I do allow myself one check of the INZ and ENZ every morning. Like my guilty pleasure :). Maybe you’ll be processed a little quicker as you have already submitted once? Keep updating :)

Awaiting CO allocation: after reading the recent threads, it seems I might get CO by end 2019.. :)

Funds got deducted on13th June and online status shows lodgement date as 24th May, status pending. Awaiting CO...

Hello! Would like to contribute as well. It is going to be a long wait so it would be nice to share with you all. Time line is as following for us:

06 Feb 2019 EOI Selected
14 Feb 2019 ITA letter received
29 May 2019 ITA documents sent
31 May 2019 ITA documents delivered
03 Jun 2019 Resident visa application appeared online, Status is "Pending", Lodgement date not specified. (I dont think it has actualy been lodged though)

So 2 weeks of no lodging so far, not a nice feeling :)

From what I've seen with other people lodgement date will always be the date INZ received your application by POST regardless of when they actually process them.

It's really strange for them to be able to show up in the system without a lodgement date...

I am assuming that is what they are going to back date it to. It just looks funny: It is obviously the immigration status that is pending, but it feels like my "life" is pending. Almost like a video game.

Yeah I know exactly what you're talking about... most of us have been there too.

My approach is to forget all this even exist for about 5-6 months then come back and start worrying about it again if you still haven't got an update.

If you've heard back from your CO before the 6 month period is over, then I'd consider it a bonus... a head start to life if you may :laugh
