Where did you see that timeframe? When I applied online, I don’t recall seeing any mention of how long it might take (maybe I missed it). But in the confirmation email I received, there was a link to the DÍA web page which the timeframe.

Yesterday, I received an email of approval. No email was sent to confirm details or allocation of the CO.
My enquiry
- How would I find out when the certificate will be printed?
- Will I get another email with details about the printing date? If yes, rpl about how many days after the confirmation email I should anticipate receiving the printing date.
I've read through this thread and understand that no certificate number is required for passport applications, therefore once I obtain the printing date, can I apply for the passport right away on that date? As I am travelling in Nov or i should wait for the delivery of the certificate?
Hi Ozman 750
Congratulations. Could you share your timeline, please
1. The Citizenship Ceremonies team will email you separately with the printing date. They're a separate team from Citizenship application processing team.
2. The printing email usually comes within two weeks from the approval email.
3. The printing email will tell you that you do not need the certificate number to apply for a passport and you can apply for a passport after 5pm on your printing date.
4. Your certificate will be couriered out to you the day after or up to one week from the printing date.
All information for my answers above are drawn from my own experience and from correspondence I've received from Citizenship Ceremonies team. Hope it helps :)
That's great! Thanks for the sharing. Cheers.
In my case, no one emailed us about when our certificate would be printed. At the last week of the 2 months wait, I emailed the CO and was told the certificate would be printed 2 days before the 2 months. The morning after the printing date, I emailed Citizenship Ceremonies and asked our certificate numbers and they replied right away. The certificate arrived on the last day of the 2 months. Anyway, I hope you will receive your certificates faster than 2 months!
Hi
I applied in April 2022 and received approval email in July 2022. Exactly 3 months for the process. No CO email or any other interaction. Got a pretty straight forward case.
Certificate on hold due to travel plans.
Congratulations!
I applied (paper application) in early July 2021 at the Auckland office but no news till now. Patience is being tested but too much!
