Feels unreal to almost have Permanent Residency after all the pain over two years ago when they secretly stopped processing our SMC applications without any word from them...

Anyone else notice they changed the processing times on the website? It now says 6 months to process on average, with 90% being processed within 11 months. I could’ve sworn it was way less last time I checked last week…

Oh well, officially joining the queue! Application sent by post January 20th.

The times do alter, because they're based on the processing times that have actually happened over the previous however many months - I don't remember how often they do an update.

I've been calling daily for the latest update on my PR application but it's been with 2pc for a week now. :-)

Yes - yikes! Last week it said 50% of applications approved within 12 days and 90% within 27 days - quite the jump.

I sent mine in Jan 13th - might need to recalibrate expectations and/or request variation of travel conditions so I can travel overseas this year.
