PR Sticker on Passport - Timeline

Hi Guys,

Thinking to get the PR sticker on my passport.
Wondering if anyone here has done that recently & how long does it take?

Travelling overseas in the last week of December 2022. Hopefully it will be processed & passport returned by then.
INZ Website says 90% applications are processed in 42 days & I still have 67 Calendar days left until my flight.

Will it be worth writing a cover letter explaining the planned travel?

Are you adding the sticker after approved? Now a days they just issue a page you can print out and use that.

Yes, I have received the eVisa & passport.
Now considering to apply for the visa sticker on my passport.

Understood. I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk considering the delays we have seen from other processing situations. Having a paper visa and a passport vs. risking not having your passport in time for travel seems like a no brainer.

I Would not do it, wait until you come back if you like the label in your passport, it will probably take longer, everything is. My passport has been sitting in Washington for almost 3 months now.

I got a sticker with my PR application because I also submitted a transfer form with it. Got charged 240 + 150 dollars.

I would not recommend applying separately as I know someone who has been waiting for their visa sticker for more than a month now.
