Most unlikely you won't have to do Chest-Xray if you have not left New Zealand for a long time

Don't worry about that. It had nothing to do with the medical and x-rays. Just something I declared myself in the application form about her health.

I'm so nervous today. My co mailed this morning that she was going to call me "sometime soon".

I think you should be fine Yanco. To me your CO looks good. Many of my friends did interviews and none of CO's informed them in advance.

I've been informed by call center (I really needed to drill this out of him or he wasn't going to tell me), that my application has been sent to a medical assessor for my partner's health concerns. After so long again waiting now this. It makes us so anxious. I wonder if we are looking at days, weeks or even months delay because of this?

I just wonder why the call center officers are so unhelpful lately. Why couldn't he tell me this straight away. He kept saying with co for processing. It takes 24 months for applications to be processed etc... But I just felt there was something off with my application so I kept asking. Then he started to say "well it depends from application to application for example yours has been sent to a medical assessor.." Well it would have been nice if he would have told me that immediately when I asked for an update.

Even when I specifically asked if my co was waiting on something before she could proceed he didn't want to tell me about the medical assessor.

I hope everything goes okay with your case and you don't have to go through this further and I know a case of my colleague where the case put on hold because of diabetes and stuff and they had requested fresh HbA1c results, and after 3 months they did the test and it was a green light. So depending on what MA is looking for it may be just a days/weeks or months waiting.

I pray for you and hope everything goes smooth and QUICK for you.
