    Default ACS Positive Skills Assessment

    Hi

We have been trying for an Australian visa but recent changes to points requirements have made it impossible. Does anyone know if a positive skills assessment from ACS can be used when lodging an EOI for NZ? Also my husband had to complete an RPL for his skill assessment because he lacks official qualifications, does this positive assessment grant you any points? Is a positive Assessment the equivalent to any particular level of qualification?

I'm trying to figure out how many points we have!

    Thanks in advance

There is no link at all to Australian Skills assessments. The requirements vary greatly. If there has been a NZ RPL assessment, then you should have an outcome which states that there is an equivalent NZ Qualification? That, depending on what the qualification is, may be able to be used in an EOI. and the award oif a qualification,

you will still need ITPNZ to assess his IT skills as ACS is only valid for AU.

extracted from my letter of approval...

Following assessment, ITPNZ certifies that the above NZQF Level 7 (or higher) degree and further learning, when taken as a whole, meets the benchmark educational requirements towards Chartered IT Professional New Zealand status in New Zealand.
It is thus our view that these qualifications and further learning, when taken as a whole, meet the list requirements for the ICT, Electronics and Telecommunications occupations listed in the Long Term Skills Shortage List (with the exception of Multimedia Specialist (Film Animator)) as at the date of this letter.
This assessment is based on information provided both by the applicant and independently sourced, however we note that we have not independently verified that all of these qualifications have been awarded to the individual named above.

Hi, do you know if you can get an RPL assessment for an NZ visa? I can't find anything on the immigration website regarding anything other than official qualifications... TIA

you can use the qualification which is awarded following RPL assessment by an NZQA recognised provider
