    Question Domestic air travel

    Hi folks,

I'm coming out to NZ for a reccie in April. I'llbe staying in Auckland but I'm wondering about popping down to Wellington for a day. What are the domestic airfares like at the moment? Is it possible for me to book from outside the country?

    Cheers,

    Martin

Hey Martin, try this site: www.airnz.co.nz it's ANZ in NZ, so keep in mind the fares are in NZ$. Don't forget to check the grabaseat section!

    Also check www.qantas.co.nz and www.flightcentre.co.nz

I just bought a one way ticket from the latter for $79 NZD from Auckland to Wellington.

$79NZD is the standard price for Auckland to Wellington, Air NZ bought the prices down a few weeks ago.

As Ana has said have a look at www.grabaseat.co.nz you can sometimes get a flight for $49 from Auckland to Wellington one way.

If you go Origin Pacific just bear in mind you'll be on a tiny aircraft - 1 person each side of the aisle with no overhead lockers & next to no legroom - not like Air NZ - my 6'5'' tall hubby went OP to Auckers last year & swore never to go with them again no matter how cheap they are!
