For anyone wanting to stay chemical free you can prevent and remove mould by using Oil of Cloves. Around 2.5mls to 1 litre of water in a spray bottle does the job and it leaves behind a lovely natural smell.

If you don't like the smell of clothes you can still keep mould at bay using a few drops of Tea Tree or Lavender essential oil in a spray bottle. Used together you get all the benefits of their anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, antiseptic and anti-viral qualities. I clean most of my house with just these three oils including all my children's toys.

Oil of Cloves is often sold as tooth tincture. It also kills flies and spiders don't like it either. Beware if you use in on your bathroom tiles - if there is mould in your sealant it will take that of aswell!
