Question Japanese Translation / Subaru Navigation

I know that this isn't a car forum, but as there's enough of us out there, I am hoping that someone can help.

I've just bought a Subaru Legacy ( ) which is a Japanese import ( ). It has the Subaru FM Multiplex Hybrid Navigation System, but I just can't work it out, as there is no dvd-rom in it, or manual and all of the characters are in Japanese.

I've done a search on t'internet, which revealed nothing, and also on the forum, which shows that several of you have own/ed Subarus, and so I'm hoping that one or several of you may be able to help.

If anyone could shed any light on this, point me in the right direction, or wish to assist with some translation (I can email photoraphs of the screen if need be), then please post or drop me a pm.

    Cheers and thanks in advance.

As an incentive, rep points will be awarded where available.

    Tony

P.S. Other than that, it is a top motor.

You got a subaru! We weren't expecting that

One of the MX5's we looked at had that, but not the one we ended buying..

Stu's car finally arrived today, so I guess you are both happy men now....!

Haven't a clue Tony, but I was told that there is going to be a CD available either later this year or next year to upgrade this computer to work here. Don't know how you go about this but....

    Steve

p.s. wasn't doing this for the rep points

Thanks for your help guys, but this one is proving difficult.

I'll carry on persevering though, but I can’t give you rep points, until I’ve spread them around. Thanks anyway...

And Pip - Let us know how happy Stu is now he's got his motor back. Photo would be good - with a grin ear to ear.

I can scarcely run and hide from this one as one of only three (to my knowledge) Japanese residents on the forum. Go on then, I'll have a go. If I can't read it then 'er indoors most certainly will be able to.

I'll try to make it better than this:
