Thanks - you have been busy
Interesting, 68k is that one or two incomes?
I earn 30k, full time work, my partner earns 45k full time work.
Took us a couple of years to get to this income.
Most people here earn 12-20 dollars an hour.
Numbers are illustrative only and based on 1 salary. It gets too complex with multiple salaries to put in a simple way on a spreadsheet.
As stated in the spreadsheet, if you have 2 incomes then you will probably need to earn less than half of the single salary as you'll each pay less in the higher tax bands.
For example, at a single $75000 income, you'll pay $21495 in tax and ACC. With two incomes of $30000 and $45000, you'll pay a combined total of $16545 in tax and ACC.
Thanks for that. Very useful.
hey thank you so much this it is really brilliant.. just what I needed
we are getting down to minor details after the shock of the consultants ringing us and saying Dh is top of the list of applicants
but my hubby is really worried about taking a pay cut as he is on a good deal here....
really tough call if we proceed any further
thanks again, this may help others too
Two further planners I found if anyone needs one

Very useful and excellent to sort things out for me and the family. We are there from Feb 2009 and when you have a lot of things to think of you start to panic.
Thanks to both B&K and AndyR for taking the time to post this very helpful info.
