areas of christchurch

i was wondering if anyone knew about the areas of Christchurch. what places are good to live in. what places you should stay out of. also if i could get some info on the schools in Christchurch that would be great.

12 Mins walk to the beach........

1 Min bike to Bottle Lake Forest......

5 Min drive to Windsor golf club........

Shops and library 5 Min bike ride away..........

parklands sounds nice although we were looking for somewhere closer to a high school and the city. maybe the west side?

if you a skier then the west side is nearest the mountains, we have a ski shop just to the west of the city so have a bit of ski info if you need any. hopefully when you get here we will get to meet you.

yeah were big skiers what are the neighborhoods like on the west side. maybe Burnside, Bryndwr, or Riccarton...around that area

Hi There,
We arrive in Christchurch mid April (fingers crossed). We got 2 small children and are looking at schools also. I've attempted to upload a spreadsheet with the most current decile ratings for Christchurch schools (10 being brilliant, 1 being... well lets say not very good at all)
I'll PM it to you if it hasn't appeared in this thread.
