Default Where can I buy an oil heater?!

One of those heaters filled with oil, with fins and plugged into the electric. I've used them before but need another one now....unfortunately, I have been to two Warehouses, one Mitre 10 and one Briscoes and was unable to find any for sale. Dehumidifiers, desk fans and patio heaters- take your pick. This was mid February though so perhaps retailers thought it wasn't yet cold enough for people to need them. Well, now it is!

Yep, they do sell out fast as soon as a cold spell hits.

We got ours from Briscoes in April of last year. They tend to wait until nearer the season. I would say in a couple of weeks there should be plenty of them. Even Pak'n save had them last year. Ask someone in the store and they may be able to tell you when they are expecting them

We got ours from the Warehouse about April last year plus we bought a gas heater there too, just remember that you buy the canister empty there for your heater and then have to get it filled at local petrol station...........we thought it was funny at the time!

We got ours from Noel Leeming:

    and Hammer Hardware.

If you know a brand name just search for it in Google NZ and some online shops should come up.

Thanks all, I've found that Noel Leeming do have them And there's some good choice on trademe also. By the time I get out to go shopping on the weekend there'll likely be a a Northwesterly flow again!
In the meantime it's a chance to man up and wrap myself in a wool blanket (17c indoors which isn't exactly horrendous, but just shy of comfortable IMO).

    Wow, thanks Sharon.
I actually bought an LPG bottle for the BBQ yesterday from Pack & Save, I thought it seemed incredibly light at the time but then they all were.
    Now I know why.
Thanks to the rain in the bay, we havenít actually tried to use it yet, the food would have taken ages to cook.
The thing actually says 9kg on it; I canít believe I was so unbelievably stupid.
Now; has anyone got any idea where I can get a long wait?
    Best Wishes

Argos. Don't think they deliver that far though. We're bringing a bunch with us. We're so going to miss central heating.
