Can I bring chocolate in my suitcase?

Am I ok to declare I have some chocolate in my suitcase when we go thro' customs?

As Mels said, they'll give you an arrival form to complete on the plane. This one:

Question 3 asks if you have any food - so just tick the YES box (well circle). Chocolate and sweets are usually fine to bring in, so you shouldn't have any problems if you declare it.

Yes, you can bring it, in fact you are only allowed to bring Galaxy chocolate,(all forms acceptable), and you must bring it to Devonport, where you will leave it at a designated spot. Its funny the Kiwis do it that way, but they are the rules, sorry!

Yes, chocalate should be allowed, though the NZ chocolate isn't that bad. The cheese selection is no where near as good though, Edam, Mild, Coldby and Tasty (?) are the main staples. Others are available but at a price.
