    Question Community service card

    I am confusing
    I just recieved three community service card for each of my children in the post.
    My OH and I already got one each, thought our card should able cover our children?
    so why I got three more?

    Community Service Card entitles the holder to discounts on things like doctors charges and gets you into some local attractions cheaper. It's a means tested social security benefit.

    I do believe each individual (children included) need their own card.

    Our son has one (as we claim child disability allowance for him) but no-one else in the family has one.

    Don't quote me on any of the above, this is just my understanding.

    This explains the community card well, and who can have one. It's primarily for health care costs.

    Thanks Helen, I didn't realise I can use it with dentist even we haven't been one in NZ yet...just never got around to go

    Speaking about flour, I just been to supermarket today, I know what you mean..

    Not ALL dentists accept it - on the website it says 'an approved' dentist! Just check first before you sign up!
