Question Suet - anyone know where I can buy it?

I'll be looking to make some xmas puds soon, so easy to do, but an essential ingredient in the recipe I usually use is suet - I haven't seen any in the shops here in NZ, does anyone know where it can be found? Atora would be great, but is there any NZ equivalent?

Another missing baking ingredient I've not yet tracked down, is malt. I used to get it from Holland & Barrat in the UK, but haven't seen it here also.

Don't know where you are in Auckland but we have a UK shop in Orewa 30 minutes North Of Auckland called Bramptons and they may have it in there?

Malt - not quite, I was more looking for a jar of the malt extract, it's kind of brown gloopy stuff, and also nice on toast. This is the only one I've found online, in the UK sadly:-

Separately thanks for the links to suet. I'm out at Cockle Bay, but pass through Pakuranga on the way to work, so will try to check them out.

Actually just done a web search for Atora suet and revealed:
    Bramptons, at a hefty $6.95 a packet

or the English Corner Shop at Onehunga and a full $2 cheaper!!

Zardell mentioned this some time ago, talking about NZ products in lieu of UK.

Oh and suet is suet mixed with flour, so instead of using 1 suet (Atora for the Brits reading this) to 2 flour, I now have to use 2 suet mixture (Shreddo) to 1 flour.

    Hi All.

Yeah - they don't have Atora, but they do have a product called Shreddo which is widely available at most supermarkets.

No idea what it will be like in your Chrissie Puds, but it's fine for dumplings.
