How long for wait on application of partner visa?

Hi

Trying to sort out some timelines here.
Going for medical within next two weeks.

Can you tell me the average wait time from submitting a completed visa application to receiving the visa back?

-Visa applying for: Partner Visa (partner NZ Citizen)
- Applying from London

I spread my application out over the longest time I could. But if I'd done it all back to back these are the timescales - gave in application at NZ House (took it myself so they could look at passport and let me have it back straight away!!) and within 4 weeks later I had a letter saying I was approved in principle. Then had to send passport to get blue sticker which I think took a week to 10 days. So all in all mine could have been done within 6 or so weeks. That was in 2007-08 so things may be different now. After the initial couple of hiccups (Sent first time but the medicals were out of date, sent second time the Doctor had missed a couple of signatures) I sent them off on the 22nd of December, I received them back yesterday (3rd of Jan) complete with blue stickers.

Considering Xmas was in the middle of that then I reckon it was pretty fast. This was also for a partner visa.
