    Hi Karen,

I would read that e-mail as promising as they are now 'just' asking for expected future costs. Are they now asking for more detailed tests like ultrasound and stuff?

OOh a mixed response there from the MA - hopefully you can get to a specialist and get a positive report on your liver function, then you will be home free.

I know that it is easy for me to say but don't let this next 'barrier' make you downhearted. You have worked your socks off to lower your BMI (and waist measurement).
Hope that it all sorts itself out.

Quick question: When I had my medical should the doctor at the centre informed me that there where problems with my liver.

    Hey there,

Very well done on the weight loss! As someone else said, the LFT test is very sensitive and my GP told me that she wouldn't worry about a raised level as a one off. It's a pain in the derriere that they've asked for more tests but a specialist will put them right.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

    How are you?

Thanks for your kind comment. Had scan all ok, picking up letter from consultant Wed., but it could be to late for me to be added back onto the original PR application
Had a look at results from medical back in March regarding the LFT levels the one that the MA is concerned about was 25, now Nov it was 45 (must be down to diet/full off cold on the day of medical) NZ immigration have granted me a temporary visa while this is going on. Flight booked we fly into Auckland on the 25th February. Still won’t believe it until we arrive.

I would defiantly recommend to anybody that if their BMI is over 35, loses weight before you have your medical, if it not worth the stress and heartache.

    Karen,
That's fantastic news on your medical, and I know how pleased you must be to know that it's going to be ok, but what a bitter sweet time for you having missed the PR application

Surely you don't have to do the medical again do you? After only just being told it's ok??

Good luck with the next steps! And at least your here, right?
