    Default Pots, pans and knives

Any suggestions where in Wellington I should buy this stuff? Am looking to buy half-decent quality as I tend to cook often at home.

Note, I've already crockery and cutlery which are in a container ship as I write.

    Thanks in advance!

For pots and pans, places to try would be the Warehouse, K-Mart, Farmers, Stevens roughly in order of cost / quality (IMO).

For Knives, you can try the shops above and there are also some specialist knife shops around e.g. there's one in queensgate (can't recall the name at the moment).

Try Moore-Wilsons; they had a large section of cookware, much of it restaurant grade.

I found Warehouse was cheap but didn't last long so we ended up going to Briscoes who seem to have a sale every weekend.

    Good luck

Living and Giving currently have a 30% off sale on their cookware.....mostly decent stuff (Le Creuset, Jamie Oliver, etc) but it ends on thursday.

There are a few good online retailers of kitchenware, too:

    Table Pride

    The Studio of Tableware

    Milly's Kitchen

    The Homestore online

(I often use these websites to get an idea of prices, and all of them have pretty good sales from time to time, too.)

These are pretty handy - I'll take a look at these before taking the plunge. I'll look out for Living and Giving too, though I might be buying them after Thursday, as I need to sort out permanent rental first (currently living in serviced apartments).

    Am appreciating the help muchly.

Living and Giving have a website, too: http://www.livingandgiving.co.nz/ It looks as though the 30% sale Family of Monkeys mentioned only applies in store, but they have some online offers at the moment.
