Thanks Helga for the post, congrats on things going well

One question: Why did you guys selected this part of NZ, which is a bit far off from the normal places people choose to immigrate into?

    Default Why Gisborne...

    Hi Venturello

Reason we're here - it's where my husband was offered the best job! So we didn't choose Gisborne - it just happened that way but we're very pleased it did - a beautiful area with fantastic climate (in summer - bit wet and windy today!). It is a bit isolated from the rest of NZ but there's an airport

    I think,

It is a bit isolated from the rest of NZ but there's an airport
It's more of a shed where airplanes happen to land, you do get some thrilling landings on blustery days though!! :eek

Ha ha ha that's so true - it's amazing what seems totally normal a few months down the line... OH is off toChristchurch from the very same "airport" this week - strong winds promised

We had some very strong winds, hail, sleet etc etc at the weekend - today, of course, sunny and as warm as it can be at this time of year - how typical...

    Helga
