Default Price of laptop at Changi Airport?

Does anyone know what they are selling the cheapest laptops for at Changi?

They seem quite cheap in the UK at the moment, but I hear it's cheaper there?

    Thanks

    Hi Billy

I bought an Acer laptop in Singapore on my way to NZ but not from the airport ( 2 years ago- so no help with current pricing)
It cost me US1600 that includes a printer and also a carry case.
Mine had 512 MB RAM and came with a CD burner and DVD player.

Idid browse the laptops at Changi last Jan and I think they are just slightly cheaper at the airport.
It pays if you have the time to visit the city
A good place is the Funan Centre and also Sim Lim Plaza or Sim Lim Square.

The draw backs from buying there is that you might not be covered by an International warranty and also the plug at the end is like the one you use in the UK. But this is not a problem as you can buy and adaptor or chop it off and wire an NZ plug at the end.

Here you can get a decent laptop for NZ$ 2500 This will be a Pentium as most of the cheaper ones come witha Celeron processor.

    cheers

    Thanks.

Currently considering getting a sub-£500 machine. Not bothered too much about wireless as I already have a pcmcia wifi card.

If you have some time between flights and want to get a laptop, hop on an MRT to Bugis station and a 5 minute walk will take you to Sim Lim Square where computers are a lot cheaper than at the airport.

That's really good to know, we've been looking at whether to buy one here or not, the deals are pretty good just now and for less than £500 you can pick up a good one here.

We will definitely keep this in mind.

    Thanks
