    Default NZ websites

    This Xmas I ordered some goodies from Argos for pressies for some of my UK pals - saved postage. the worry of it getting lost en-route etc.

    Trouble is, now shes asked if there are any similar NZ websites that she can order stuff for my brood for their birthdays, xmas etc.

    Any recommendations please?

    I've found it can be cheaper to use overseas websites to send stuff to NZ than to buy it locally. Amazon.co.uk or bookdepository.co.uk are good.

    As per the bookshop thread it's still cheaper to buy in the UK and have them shipped than to buy from Fishpond. They can only be described as 'equivalent' in as much as they sell books online. They cannot in any way be compared to Amazon for the range of items non-book related or price wise.

    Honestly, I have no affiliation to www.cdwow.co.nz but you can get books, DVDs, CDs, Playstation games etc, makeup and perfumes.

    There's also a few things like http://www.giftstation.co.nz/Search where you can purchase gift vouchers for a wide variety of stores.

    Family in the UK has ordered from IQ Toys for every Christmas and birthday and the service has been great. Prompt delivery, great selection and have been able to return goods easliy when a present has been duplicated. We've also used Toy Planet mentioned in the above post.

    Some items (DVDs, CDs and some toys?) can now be ordered online from the Warehouse.

    Have also used these people on several occasions. Most recently we ordered three items for our grandson's birthday, after 4 p.m. NZ time, and they were delivered to our son's house in the post next morning, each thing separately gift-wrapped and with a card with our message on.
