Pre-Purchase Building Inspection

hi, does anyone have a recommendation for a Building Inspector in Blenheim / Marlborough? Have just bought a house!! LIM will be ordered tomorrow but now need to organise the building inspection

The EA has mentioned 1 company (Property Check) & my sil mentioned another (AA House Checks) but hasn't used them, but no idea if either are any good. Has anyone used either company?

PS for anyone that is looking / thinking of buying & is new to the NZ real estate market, the EA is required to give you a copy of the New Zealand Residential Property Sale and Purchase Agreements Guide

We used Property Check here in Christchurch and were very satisfied. Not only was the report very thorough, the gentleman that conducted the inspection was willing to spend as much time as we could wish discussing details and sharing his opinions. Not sure how that translates to your region...

AA House Checks no longer operate in Marlborough, so that rules them out.

I used BAB and they were good!

We used Property Check and were really happy with the report (and it saved us about $2,000 in work that would otherwise have needed doing when we moved in).
