Joining the NZ Police Force

Need some advise on joining the police in NZ, how hard/easy is it, age restraints, qualifications required and such

Been on that and done the questionairre, but just wanted to get a feel for it from people serving and those if any that have changed careers into it, and I can't get that watching Road Wars on Sky 3

what area you're prepared to work in has a bearing on timeframes. A friend of mine has specified wellington and i think has been waiting 18 months. whereas if you're easy then it can happen a lot faster.

It all depends on which hospital my partner gets her job in really, but after you have just said that think i might get her to stear away from Wellington

recesion looks like it put a hold on recruitment over there as well then!!

From what I gather, it's been like that since before the recession. It's because more people want to police in larger cities (because more people live there) than small towns.
