Amusing. If Auckland is just "survivable", Sydney (10th place) must not even be that.

I suppose they lost points for poisonous snakes, poisonous spiders, and sharks.

Don't start that again...Last time I mentioned the Australian wildlife I got berated about being alarmist and ...'you know 20 billion Australians die on the roads and only one person every millenium gets bitten by a snake'...(maybe I got the numbers wrong)

...but back to the OP - If most liveable means dull....then I'll take dull anytime. the way I look at it is I'll travel to go and see and do exciting things but I'd like a nice quiet and safe life day to day!

I concur with the article, Auckland is a very poor imitation of Sydney. It is survivable but heck there are a lot more pleasant places.

I had a chat with someone in Auckland last night who said it was a better place to live/work than Welly, so this seems to concur with that opinion! All I need now is for the Auckland job to actually be offered to me! Then I have a real choice on my hands!
