    Default Looking at Flights

Just been looking at flights for the beginning of Sept (hopefully) and cannot understand why my 12yo daughter is classed as an adult, this is so unfair!! they will not serve her alcohol on the flight as she is not old enough to drink, she is not old enough to smoke, she cannot vote, she cannot travel alone.

How on earth can they justify charging her an adults ticket?

Rant over, can anyone recommend a site where we can get last minute flights at a decent price please.

    Thanks

    Andrew & Tracy

    Try

    www.travelsupermarket.com/c/cheap-flights/
    www.expedia.co.uk
    www.travelbag.co.uk

Trailfinders are also good but you need to ring them.

Royal Brunei class children as up to 17 years old - but only in NZ!

    http://www.bruneiair.com/newzealand/promotion/kids.asp

If you are looking for the cheapest "normal" way of getting over here then Royal Brunei is generally the best option - but it doesn't always come up with every travel agent unless you ask specifically. Also you need to check your dates as it doesn't fly every day.

There are cheaper ways using Air Asia X and other budget carriers to Oz but these are generally better for backpackers who are going to spend enough time in each stopover to not have to worry that the flights aren't booked through!

    I always give www.dialaflight.co.uk a ring after I have checked on www.expedia.co.uk.
I've booked flights for september London Heathrow > Auckland
I had the choice of the following:
Air Korea Business class - £1400 30kg baggage
    Air Korea economy - £590 20kg
Emirates economy £690 30kg (via Aus)

In the end I've gone for a trip via friends in Florida for £850 BA & Quantas 30kg allowance, but I need to pay an extra £40 for the extra bag from London to Miami...

    Hope that helps.

    Hi there,

I have found the following sites to be good:

    http://www.kayak.co.uk/
    http://www.skyscanner.net/
    http://www.travelsupermarket.com/
    http://www.asda-travel.co.uk/

Beware of trying to get last minute deals, I decided to leave booking a flight earlier this year until 4 days before and watched the remaining seats go up in price by the minute! In 24 hours it went from £780 to £980.

Look at different combinations of routes, airlines and flights. Then if you are fussy, check out the quality of the plane, airline and route on skytrax. Also go straight back on after booking and choose your seats if you can (I have done this with emirates and NZ and it makes all the difference)

    Hope this is helpful,

    Kevin.
