    If you can find a course you want to follow in NZ, you can probably get a student visa. (For the student visa, it doesn't matter about points for the Skilled Migrant stream - that is a totally separate thing.)

    Here is the page at NZ immigration that tells you about requirements for getting a student visa and permit. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...hatisrequired/ And this one tells you more about it. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...sasandpermits/

    If you do a course of study in NZ, there are other permits you can apply for afterwards to let you look for work to qualify for residence.

    Bonjour encore, taharone;

    you could also get in contact with IPENZ which is our professional organisation. See here http://www.ipenz.org.nz/ipenz/
    There are certain ways to get your diploma acknowledged. One is within IPENZ, another way is via NZQA (http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/).

    It looks as though IPENZ could tell you the sort of detail you need, or put you in touch with people who can help more.

    You may have a look here: http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...ls.htm?level=1. You should try along the lines of LTSSL because of residence. Another option is on basis of the ISSL which expressly lists "roading".

    Another valuable web site could be this one http://www.washingtonaccord.org/.

    You did not say where your degree originates from. However here the list with members etc. http://www.washingtonaccord.org/Wash...ignatories.cfm

    Thank you Ralf-nz ... but Algeria is not one of the accord signaturies countries so I think that doesn't help.
    I graduated from ENTP which diploma is one of only few algerian diplomas recognized by europian & uk universities . and about my 6 years eXPerience (roading , Bridges) ,Algeria is not a similar job market to the countries mentionned in the Washigton accord. so my XP is worthless.
    and thanks again.

    There is another thread with a similar topic http://www.enz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=30297

    I wrote there amongst others:
    "... you may get in contact with IPENZ our professional organisation here; http://www.ipenz.org.nz/ipenz/. If they stated your education and experience is similar to a Washington Accord degree (or perhaps even just Sydney ... or Dublin ...) that could help.
    Al least it helped several years ago with my application. My degree is not directly acknowledged either but I got a confirmation from a member organisation saying that it is the equivalent..."

    Not sure if it could work out in your situation though. And of course I thought that - at least parts of - your education and / or experience might originate from France.

    Another idea is that you try going to a lesser degree, e.g. technologist or technician. I have no experience with that, it is just something "theoretical".
