    Easy tiger. I know the presenter and he's a fantastic bloke and a great spokes person for Taupo (he isn't an actor!). Don't make it personal.

    There is no push by the authorities to change the way Taupo is pronounced. Fact is its pronounced in many ways (all of which are accepted) but the Maori way of saying it is how its pronounced in the video.

    "It's Toe-Paw or the locals will think you an idiot" isn't exactly saying that there isn't a push to say it Toe-Paw though.

    And to be clear then as with the majority of my posts then you shouldn't treat them that seriously, and neither the 'a' or the 'b' were anything other than light hearted banter. And given that I tip the scales at 17-18 stone and even managed to put weight on during the ironman at Toe-Paw then I clearly aren't going to be making serious jibes regarding waistlines.
