Is it controlled by taking regular medication?

My only knowledge of this disease comes from Wikipedia (having only just heard of it and not being a doctor) - you'd know better than me how well the website of continual edits describes it!

Based on what I've read there, I would guess that you'll be referred to the medical assessor.

They will probably concentrate on any medication you take, as well as prognosis.

It might be an idea to get your GP or specialist to write a letter and include some reports for the panel doc to attach to your medical, in an attempt to speed things up.

To you it's probably a manageable inconvenience, but to NZIS it will seem a possible risk to your employability, earning potential etc etc.

    Annoying, but true!

Now, there is an interesting question? Is that (the benefit) within the $25k over 4 years or a lifetime. Perhaps it's on top or may be not at all.

I would be intrigued to hear any thoughts
