Default Has it been 6 months? That was quick!

Wow!! It’s 6 months today since we set foot in NZ.
Time has really flown by so quickly. I guess it’s true that when you are having fun, time passes quickly. So, what have we done since arriving? OH just asked me.....what have we achieved?

    Month 1:
Got kids into school. More like 4 day after arriving.
    Bought a car
Started work on the second week

    Month 2:
Chinese New Year on the 14th Feb (yes Valentine’s Day too) & had a big family get together with loads of food.
Got really stress out with our rental property. Confirmed a property for rental and at the very last minute, the landlord pull out. The lease was not signed yet.

    Month 3:
Found a new rental property and signed the lease.
Move into our own home after squatting with sister for 2 months.
    Went to Wellington for Easter.
Watched the Hurricane Vs Crusaders Game at the Westpac Stadium (Awesome)

    Month 4:
Start to panic a little as OH needs to get a job in 9 month to convert our WTR to PR.
Then, like it dropped out nowhere, a job offer and acceptance for OH. Yippee!!

    Month 5:
OH started work in Tauranga, me & kids stay on in Auckland

    Month 6:
I survive 1 month being a single weekday parent to 2 very active kids.

On the whole, it has been an amazing journey which is yet to be completed. By the 15th August, OH should have the 3 months payslip required and will be submitting the re-assessment of our PR to the Manukau branch. Hopefully it would be smooth and we’ll get the documentation sorted out quick. However after all that we have read on this forum on all sorts of delays, we will just have to keep our fingers cross.

Now to look forward to move to Tauranga in Jan 2010

You have done a lot, well done Amy.

I guess going to a Rugby game is important being in NZ, mine was the All Blacks v Wales at the House of Pain.
