    Default Storage costs in NZ

Has anyone stored their stuff in NZ until they get settled with a house? if so on average how much did you pay?

We've got lots of quotes for the Wellington area and the best couple we have so far are coming in at $565 for three months - that's via Conroys our removal people at the NZ end and All Secure Storage. Don't forget to add the cost of insurance (approx $40 pcm so far anyway).

We spent 6 months touring and looking for "Shangri La" (finally settled on Waihi and love it).
Our worldly goods came in a 20 foot container and were stored in Auckland by Storage4You, a family firm and they were brilliant and very helpful, can't speak too highly of them, $270.00 per month plus insurance.

We stored our stuff in a 40' container on the outskirts of Chch. Amount was $533 nzd per month including rental of container. World Moving and Storage took over after Rainier shipped the 40' container from the US. Looking back, this was probably very pricey and we could have gotten other quotes but we thought it would be short term (and the container was already there at the warehouse so we just had it transferred to their container onsite and left it there).

We paid $100 a month to store the contents of a 4 bed house in Auckland. It was arranged through Tiger Transport. Had to pay by the hour for delivery though.

I've used them a lot over the last few months, and I agree, they are great to deal with!
