    Default Cheap Flights Anyone?

Trying to book our flights out to NZ and can't seem to find anything within reason. We initially wanted returns within a year, but are probably going to end up with one ways if we can't find anything reasonable. Anyone have any suggestions or know of any good deals?

    Hi April,

What's your budget, how many passengers, your departure point?
It is not strange for one way tickets to be in the same price range as the return ones (in some cases even more expensive).

You can have multiple options from http://www.dealchecker.co.uk , try to go through kayak & then hop onto Emirates website. They were having return tickets from Heathrow - Auckland for £670 per person (one way) with 30Kg check-in baggage allowance (economy). Hope that helps.

I have been scanning the flight situation lately for the same time frame:
    • Cathay Pacific £1698
      R Brunai £1098
      Quantas £1296
      Emirates £1320
      Singapore £1519
      Nz Air £1307
      Korean Air £1159
      Thai Int £1320
      B A £1339

      These prices are for ONE WAY ~ October 11th - 15th - ish 2 adults - economy
Throw into the mix baggage allowances and travel times then things don't look so clear cut for the favourite . . .

Still working on a choice for my journey, will keep you posted . . .

I like to use kayak.com as it shows all the different prices and which day of the week is cheaper to fly on! If you are fairly flexible with dates, you could get a good deal.

Bear in mind that end Sept/beginning of October is NZ school holidays between terms 3 & 4.

Maybe you'll do better if you can avoid flying to close to them.

    Good luck!

I'd really rather stick with Emirates, Cathay, Air NZ, Singapore or Air NZ really.

I have found the odd cheap flight here and there, but they usually disappear within minutes.

    Will have to keep trying.

    Default Cheap flights

I booked through Trailfinders £841 each leaving mid sept and return to uk in July 2011.

We flying Air NZ all the way and it includes the internal flights from Auckland to Palmertson North where we will be.
