Default it is good to hire consultant for job search

    Hi,

I got in touch with few consultant they are registered migration
agent. they are helping to arrange job offer and for that
they are charging almost 7000$ fees.

it is good idea to give them that much amount, they are working
    on no job no fees.

How reliable do u think registered agent with govt. are ?
if someone choose their help what things they should keep in mind
    before signing any agreement.

any practical advice will be appreciated.

    Regards

You could pay a consultant to do that, and $7000 seems a sensible amount of money to pay for one. That's assuming that you class sensible as throwing money away with absolutely zero probability of it doing anything whatsoever towards getting you a job. You may get a generic book worth $30 and a pile of free leaflets though so you don't feel totally ripped off. 99% of recruitment agents are full of it. 100% of them will get fees from the employers if they manage to 'place' someone. Any that charge an employee anything at all are even less likely to actually get you a job than the rest of them.
I'm happy for you to pay me only $6000 and I'll send you the 'free' book and tell you that I've forwarded your cv to every employer in New Zealand but the economy is crap at the moment and althoguh you were on the long list then your lack of New Zealand experience meant that they didn't want to do an interview.

    Thanks for the response.

I too feel this is a stupid amount if someone asking for it

but thing is that whenever I will come there I will have only
    one month for job search.

If i m not able to crack the job search in that time then
    NZ dream is over.

then what is the solution of this problem.

I too have heard about these "consultents", but my common sense tells me its not worth the money, and it sounds too close to be a scam...dont you feel it? On the other hand, if you really think about the amount they are asking....wouldnt that amount be enough for you to survive in NZ for about 6 job-less months? (and find a job in that 6 months)

However, according to many people in this forum, 1 month might not be enough to land on a job. So perhaps you should start applying from where you are, and try to convince them to have the initial interviews over skype (or whatever) and then arrage the last rounds of the interviews while you are there.

on authorized immigration adviser site from new zealand immigration.

    my mind completely

Hi, while a registered immigration lawyer may be of use (though usually not, almost everything you need is here,) someone to find a job is not needed. Just check on seek.co.nz and use your contacts

Literally, it sounds like a sale of job for $7000. I haven't come across any single job or consultants per se who can guarantee a job !! Unless (looking at the positive side), its a job within this consultancy

many "consultant"s know the desperate for WTR holder and asking for 7k is not ethical to me unless they can guarantee a skilled job which I don't think they can guarantee that.

    Hi

Thanks you all for your response

those guys whom I have contacted are on www.iaa.govt.nz
certified immg specialists I dont know if they are also
    involve in scam.

If I will give contact any senior who are in NZ can help me
to find out truth, they are really helping to get job or atleast
arranging interview before I come there or it is just a scam

    Regards
